Cupping

Our licensed acupuncturist offers cupping therapy, a traditional healing method that gently lifts the skin and fascia to release tension, increase circulation, and stimulate detoxification. This time-honored therapy is ideal for anyone feeling tight, stressed, or stagnant, and is a natural complement to acupuncture, massage, and other holistic treatments.

WHAT IS CUPPING THERAPY?

Cupping is a gentle suction technique that uses glass, silicone, or bamboo cups to draw blood flow toward the surface of the skin. The process helps loosen tight muscles, clear energy blockages, and encourage lymphatic drainage. Unlike deep-tissue massage, cupping reaches deeper layers of muscle and fascia, offering relief without pressure.

After a cupping session, you may notice light circular marks on your skin; these are a natural sign of improved circulation and typically fade within a few days.

WHAT TO EXPECT

During your cupping session:

  • You’ll start with a brief wellness check-in to assess tension, stress, and overall energy flow.

  • Warm cups are applied to targeted areas, such as the back, shoulders, or legs, to gently lift the skin and promote circulation.

  • The session may be combined with acupuncture, gua sha, or aromatherapy for a complete mind-body release.

  • You’ll leave feeling lighter, looser, and deeply relaxed.

  • Sessions typically last 15 minutes within an integrated 60 minute session of Acupuncture.

Tui Na is often paired with Acupuncture, Tui Na, or Gua Sha for deeper therapeutic results.
